"From the age of two I was diagnosed with a rare kidney virus which resulted in kidney failure. Although I technically recovered from this virus, my kidneys had been permanently scarred and I have experienced frequent kidney infections ever since. As time progressed the infections increased in their frequency to the point that I was having them every 3 – 4 weeks. I was referred to a specialist who carried out several investigations but was unable to diagnose why I was getting so many infections. Ultimately it was decided that the correct cause of action was to give me a permanent script for antibiotics.
